Ms. Trieger has lived in Oregon since 1984. She has work and volunteer experience in a variety of non-profit and social service organizations focusing on poverty reduction, child wellness and healthy communities; this includes work at a women’s health center, four years as co-chair of the Whitaker Community Council, and foster parenting. From 2000-2007 she worked for FOOD for Lane County (FFLC) the second largest food bank in Oregon, where she coordinated a countywide Gleaning Program involving over 1,000 low-income people in partnership with 40+ farmers and backyard growers to harvest surplus food. As Advocacy & Outreach Coordinator at FFLC, she collaborated with anti-hunger advocates locally and across Oregon, and actively engaged in public policy work focused on hunger and poverty issues. Ms. Trieger currently serves on the Programs and Services Committee of FFLC’s Board; the Springfield Farmer's Market Advisory Committee; the Eugene Safe Routes to School Team; and coordinates cafe and food services for Project Homeless Connect. She was recently selected to serve on the Oregon Health Improvement Planning Commission.
